The 'Hand-Crafted' Latte

Looking for a way to super-charge your next fundraising event? Try our Hand Crafted Lattes! They are easy, fast to prepare and can make you, well...an awful lot per bag at even $2.50 per 10oz. latte! The best part is that you won't ever regret the little bit of money you spend on getting set up because you'll love drinking these at home and serving them to guests as well! This is really the best foam you can get without investing in a $3000 espresso machine!

What You'll Need

-   One Milk Frothing Pitcher - about $20.

-   One Bialetti Moka Express Espresso Maker

    About $20 for a large, 6-shot size

-   Shot glass for measuring espresso

-   Cooking Thermometer

-   Cups (10oz and 12oz if you choose)

-   A Microwave from home (or a Coleman 2-burner

camp stove if there's no electricity.)

-   Milk (non-fat, 2% and/or Soy Milk)

-   Microwaveable cup or pot (for stove) for heating

     milk

-   Good and visible signs about what you're selling         and what it benefits.

-   Plenty of freshly ground Medium Roast Cafe

Humana coffee ground very fine (but not quite

     espresso-fine)

-   Spring Water

-   A Few Helpers - You'll be busy!

-   Check to see if you'll need to follow your local

Health Department regulations. The bigger the

event the more likely you'll need to comply.

Usually you'll need to add a small refrigerator

and be near a sink w/ hot water to meet most

     regulations.

The Rest Is Easy

Now all you need to do is follow the directions that came with the Espresso maker to make the Espresso. While that is going, you'll want to heat your milk to about 180F-degrees so it's ready at about the same time as the espresso. Don't boil it!  Then, simply dump the hot milk in the frothing pitcher and churn away for about 30 seconds, measure your shot, pour it in the cup and then top off with the perfect, creamy, frothed milk you've just created! Voila - A darn fine latte to-go!

Try this at home a few times to get the hang of it but it is really easy! The hardest part is keeping up with demand. We recommend selling a "single tall" (single shot, 10oz) latte for $2.50 ($3 for a 12oz). Add $.50 for an extra shot. Add drip coffee for those who don't do lattes and you have something that 80% of the people at your event will likely be interested in buying! Call us for 2.5L Air Pots for serving hot coffee all day long or with any questions about getting set up for your latte service!
