Operating as a non-profit, Cafe Humana is an organization based on a firm foundation of trust through transparency. Part of that is the basic and fundamental protection of our supporters information and a clear, non-legalese policy on how we may use information gathered on this site. It is our goal to provide only truly useful and educational correspondence. Any information submitted on this site may be used only in the following manners:

1. To address any issues with an order placed on our site.  
2. Internal use in the marketing of our program and cause through e-mail, and traditional mail.
3. Sharing with other non-profit or educational organizations who provide a service that we personally believe is valuable in the further promotion of Global Sustainability. (This is a VERY limited use policy and all of our partners share our standards of respect as well.)

You will always have the right to opt out from any of our (or our partners') mailings by a link provided in every email or by simply emailing us at any time requesting to be removed from future correspondence. In fact, we encourage it as it will help us all conserve resources. Again, our goal is to provide useful and interesting infomation to our supporters and to provide it at a reasonable level. If you feel we ever stray from that, please let us know.

What we gather and how we protect it

    Nothing fancy here. We simply collect only the necessary information needed to process your order in a timely fashion. That means name, address, phone number, email and credit card information. All order information is protected using Secure Socket Layer Encryption and no personal or credit card information is stored anywhere on our server.
